Racehorse owner gets first win in 26 years
Racehorse owner Bill Davis has waited 26 years to experience the euphoria of having a horse cross the finish line in a winning position.
The luck of 87-year-old Mr Davis finally changed at Lingfield when Ayr of Elegance, trained by Philip Hide, ran to victory.
Mr Davis told Carolyn Quinn "it took a lot of money" but he was hoping to carry on "especially now I've had a winner".
