I helped a couple give birth from 300 miles away
Hameed Siddiqui called the 111 emergency service number when it became clear his wife would not make it to hospital in time to give birth. Call handler Simon Williams took the call and talked Hameed through the birth. Hameed had just 2% left on his battery before his daughter was born in the hallway of their house.
Hameed told 5 live's Sarah Brett and Nihal Arthanyake "I call him an angel, because there was no option left at the time". Simon added "I did get a round of applause from everyone in the call centre."
