Lawrenson: Gerrard coaching job great for him and Liverpool
Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has praised the club's decision to appoint former captain Steven Gerrard as a youth coach.
Gerrard, 36, who made his Liverpool debut in 1998, will begin the job in February.
"It's great experience for him, it's good experience for the kids. You imagine him coming into training every morning and having a coffee with people like Jurgen Klopp, picking their brains,” said Lawrenson.
