'McCormack would have run to the ground if his mortgage depended on it' - Claridge
The attitude of Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack has been questioned by former Leicester forward Steve Claridge after the Scotland international was dropped by Steve Bruce.
The Villa manager claims McCormack missed training because the electric gates at his home would not open, while saying, "unless his attitude towards everything changes, he's not going to be picked."
"He's made an awful lot of money and he can afford to sit there and do what he likes," said Claridge.
"If he needed that to pay his mortgage he'd have climbed over the gates and he'd have run to the ground,” he added.
