Steve Frappier: The bullet had entered my backpack
A college counsellor from Atlanta recollects the moment he was caught up in the shooting at Florida's Fort Lauderdale Airport.
Esteban Santiago loaded a gun after picking it up from baggage reclaim and started shooting passengers as they collected their bags.
He killed five people and injured six others. Steve was 15 feet away from the gunman when he opened fire on Saturday 7th January 2017.
Steve told 5 live's Stephen Nolan he "felt a thump on his back and after the all clear....I pulled the laptop out of my backpack and the bullet had entered it and the laptop had stopped it."
He added that if "I didn't have the backpack on, the bullet would have hit me."
