Former England and Lions winger Ugo Monye says he turned down an offer to leave Harlequins and become the highest paid winger in the world.

Monye didn鈥檛 make the move to France, and played for Quins throughout his career, as he鈥檚 been explaining on Rugby Union Weekly.

鈥淚 had a few offers to go to France,鈥� he said.

鈥淭he best and biggest offer I got was from Racing.

鈥淭hey were offering me three times my Harlequins wages and at the time it would have made me the highest paid winger in the world,鈥� he added.
