Players moving to China are mercenaries - Sutton
Footballers choosing to go and play in China are "mercenaries", says Premier League winner Chris Sutton.
Oscar and John Mikel Obi have both left Chelsea in January to join clubs in the Chinese Super League, while Carlos Tevez completed a move reportedly worth £40m - including a salary in excess of £310,000 a week.
"If players want to go and play in China, simply, they are mercenaries," Sutton said.
"Maybe at the end of your career – but I do not get this argument that if you're on £150,000 a week on a five-year deal you need to go and earn £30m a year elsewhere. I'm not having it."
