Byker Grove producer: I told Ant and Dec to 'stay together'

Ant and Dec's former Byker Grove producer Matthew Robinson, told 5 live that he advised the duo to "never go their separate ways".

Robinson, who gave them their break on the 蜜芽传媒 Children鈥檚 show, gave the advice as they prepared to leave aged 16.

He told them to 鈥淪tay together through any row you have, whatever it is, be together and you could be the future Morecambe and Wise.鈥�

He added: 鈥業 think they have proved that in many ways.鈥�

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have received OBEs for their services to entertainment and broadcasting. It comes just days after they won three awards at the National TV awards.
