He鈥檚 been voted the world鈥檚 best kitten - but could he become the world鈥檚 overall favourite cat in just a few weeks鈥� time? The feline in question is Mowgleaves Stonehenge, known at home as Stone.

Mowgleaves is a breed known as American Shorthair and is joint owned by Steven Meserve and Vikki Moran. He鈥檚 up against Russian rival Rumfold Such, a Flirt Shu-Ko, in the International Cat Association Champions League, with just weeks to go before the season ends.

Mowgleaves is only 11 months old, but his owners have already spent 拢25,000 on travelling with him to shows.

Steven told 5 live: 鈥淗e鈥檚 a really sweet cat. He loves everyone and he鈥檚 a real character.鈥�

On whether Mowgleaves will claim the crown he said: 鈥淲e are definitely hopeful.鈥�
