Southern rail deal welcome but will service improve?
The operators of the Southern rail network have reached a deal with the train drivers' union Aslef, ending months of crippling strikes.
Nick Brown is the chief operating officer for Southern rail. He explained to Radio 4's PM programme that "we're grateful for the open-mindedness that Aslef have brought to the table". He said he wanted "to get stability back to our timetables and get a reliable service back to our passengers".
