Work has begun to remove an overturned lorry from the A74(M) between Lockerbie and Moffat.
Police were called out to the incident, near Annandale Water services, at about 07:30.
The northbound carriageway between junctions 15 and 16 will remain closed to allow recovery work.
Diversions have been put in place.
The driver of the lorry was not hurt in the incident.
