Harambe the gorilla became an internet sensation last year when he was shot and killed after a small boy fell into his enclosure at Cincinnati Zoo.

But now he has been discovered in crisp form after Chris Mazola found a Cheeto that resembled the late primate in a bag he opened at work.

He put the Harambe-shaped Cheeto on auction website Ebay, and was shocked to find the winning bid came in at a whopping US$99,900.

鈥淚t鈥檚 astounding, I couldn鈥檛 believe it鈥� he told 5 live鈥檚 Tony Livesey.

鈥淚f I do get the money I want to donate a certain amount to the Animal Rights Foundation in memory of Harambe.鈥�
