Dark Patterns: the online tricks to make you spend money
Online retailers use a range of sly methods to get us to spend more and to part with our data. In the industry they call some of these tricks built into websites ‘Dark Patterns’. A British retail web designer Harry Brignull is credited with coining the phrase. Winifred Robinson finds out more about what these tricks are.
