Liam Williams' first-half try and 11 points from the boot of Leigh Halfpenny looked to have sealed a deserved win over England.
But Elliot Daly's 76th-minute try secured a 21-16 Six Nations victory over Wales in Cardiff.
Jones said: "I don't think I've seen a game like that for many a year, if ever.
"That was rugby at its very best and when you've got that type of performance and that game in the Six Nations, a Wales vs England game, I mean that's why this tournament is such a great on."
Wales opened their Six Nations campaign with a 33-7 victory over Italy in Rome, and produced a vastly improved display in defeat by England.
England narrowly beat France 19-16 in their opening match of the tournament and have now won 16 consecutive Test matches.
Dawson said: "That's world class rugby right there, across the board.
"No side would be playing (with) any more intensity than what Wales and England have done there."
Wales' next opponents are Scotland at Murrayfield, whilst England will face Italy at Twickenham.
