Can vitamin D stop colds and flu?
Scientists in the UK say they have proved that Vitamin D can reduce the risk of colds and influenza. A new study, published in the British Medical Journal found that daily pills of the vitamin reduced infections by 12%. Levels of vitamin D fall during the winter months in many countries, as it is made by the skin when it is exposed to sunlight. Dan Damon spoke to lead researcher Professor Adrian Martineau of Queen Mary, University of London.
