Can we really trust science?
New findings from The Reproducibility Project show that many published scientific studies cannot be repeated in a laboratory. The group has been working since 2003 to assess the whether peer reviewed experiments could be reproduced, and in its first findings concluded that, of five pieces of cancer research, only two could be replicated. Dr Frances Rawle is Head of Corporate Governance & Policy at the Medical Research Council, who are responsible for providing funding for scientific study.
