LA journalist Anita Bennett says the Oscars has some way to go to be truly diverse.
Seven of the 20 stars up for acting awards at Sunday's Academy Awards are not white - following two years where no none-white nominees.
While LA Daily News senior editor Bennett said things are going in the right direction, the Oscars still are not truly diverse.
“We need to see more people of colour making decisions and creating projects," she told 5 live's Colin Paterson.
