David Pleat: Pochettino should build his future with Tottenham
Former Tottenham manager David Pleat pays a glowing tribute to the club鈥檚 current manager, believing his future lies at White Hart Lane.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a great club and it鈥檚 a great opportunity but I think for Pochettino from his personal point of view he needs to set up something here really more in the longer term.
鈥淗e鈥檚 got a younger group, he鈥檚 got a new stadium in waiting, he鈥檚 got a wonderful training ground, he鈥檚 got good working conditions, he鈥檚 got a good staff, he鈥檚 got a youthful English side and sometimes the, not the naivety of youth, but the younger players are more receptive to the ideas of a manager.
鈥淭hey鈥檙e not set in their ways. So he can mould them into the way he wants,鈥� Pleat said.
Harry Kane scored twice as second-placed Tottenham defeated Everton to close the gap on leaders Chelsea to seven points.
