Researchers investigate astronauts' mysterious eye problems

Astronauts who spend a long time in space frequently have difficulty with their eyesight when they return to Earth. Now, researchers at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, are studying astronauts who have travelled to the International Space Station to find out what can be done to help them. Brian Samuels is assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and one of the researchers involved. Dan Damon asked him whether the eye problems were due to the lack of gravity in space.
