Four ops in 24 hours saved me from killer bug
35-year-old Lesley Kane had her left breast and part of her torso removed after contracting a killer bacterial infection.
“I was playing dodgeball and the ball hit me, I didn’t think anything of it. I carried on, and days later my body was shutting down”
Doctors discovered Lesley had contracted necrotising fasciitus from a small graze on her left breast caused by the game.
“I had four operations in 24 hours, they kept putting me into surgery as they chased it around my body,” Lesley added.
Lesley is now recovering at her home in Stockhave, Scotland.
