Casting Director: I love Sam... 'but he is wrong'
The actor Samuel L Jackson has raised questions about the number of black British actors getting roles playing Americans.
In an interview earlier in the week Mr Jackson referred to a film called Get Out in which a British actor Daniel Kaluuya plays an African-American who suffers racism. Samuel L Jackson says the film could have benefited from having an American actor in the role who would have more empathy with the role.
Ben Cogan worked as a casting director at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ for 15 years, he told Eddie Mair he thought Samuel Jackson was wrong. The whole process an actor goes through "is to find the character, that's the journey".
