Why Crufts has banned Shih Tzus from wearing bows
A senior judge at dog show Crufts says a Shih Tzus’ top knot should be secured with a plain rubber band, meaning bows are no longer allowed.
Caroline Kisko, secretary of the Kennel Club which runs the dog show, told 5 live the reason for the ban is that “nobody in the Kennel Club wants to see these dogs going around with big, pink frilly bows in their hair.”
“They are meant to be shown as naturally as possible.”
