Oil pollution in the River Cole
The Environment Agency are cleaning up what they suspect is old engine oil in the River Cole in Swindon.
They have traced the source to a surface water drain that discharges into the river.
They are working with Thames Water to establish how and when the oil got into the drainage system, which serves a large industrial and residential area of Swindon.
They'll continue to monitor the oil until it's gone.
They've taken samples at sections of the river but say it's not a water that they normally have to take samples of.
