Private care firms have cancelled contracts with nearly 100 councils across the UK due to a lack of funding. A Panorama investigation suggests one in four UK home care companies are at risk of insolvency.

Director of Cymorth Llaw, which runs home care services in North Wales, told 5 live鈥檚 Anna Foster his staff are 鈥渢otally undervalued by society鈥� and are 鈥渨orth considerably more than I can pay them.鈥�

It's estimated that at least two million more carers will be needed by 2025 in England alone.
