 
                    
                MP: Our 'village bobby’ died defending democracy
An MP has paid tribute to the policeman who “died defending democracy” in an attack on Westminster yesterday.
PC Keith Palmer, 48, was stabbed as he tried to stop the attacker in a courtyard outside the Houses of Parliament.
A father and husband, he was an unarmed member of the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Squad who had served for 15 years.
Lindsay Hoyle, Deputy House of Commons speaker, told ѿý Radio 5 live's Emma Barnett: “We’ve lost one of our village bobbies."
