Are some competition prizes impossible to win?
The Advertising Standards Authority is aware of a competition being run by McCains and they’re deciding whether or not to investigate. Companies take a lot of care with prize promotions because they don’t want to annoy customers or end up giving too much away in prizes. Jeremy Stern is the managing director of PromoVeritas, who audit prize promotions to make sure they’re fair, and top comper Di Coke enters a lot of prize draws and writes about it in her blog Super Lucky Me. They talk to Winifred Robinson about whether some prizes are able to be won.
