Wigglesworth: Ashton 'changed the game'
Richard Wigglesworth believes his Saracens team-mate Chris Ashton "changed the game" for wingers.
The scrum-half was discussing Ashton's impact on 5 live's Rugby Union Weekly with Ugo Monye and Chris Jones.
Wigglesworth said: "He definitely changed the game, I think not just for wingers but support play in general.
"I think the way people run lines and the guys who can anticipate line breaks, I think he changed the game from that respect and he cropped up all over the field and that was something that wingers weren’t really doing at that time."
Ashton has scored 11 tries for Saracens so far this season in European and domestic competitions.
It has been announced that the former England winger will leave Saracens at the end of the season and join French club Toulon.
