Death penalty falls by 37%, says Amnesty
Amnesty International estimates that executions across the world fell by more than a third last year, despite a record number of people being sentenced to death. So, deaths are down, but capital punishment has not gone away. Amnesty's estimates do not include official statistics from China. Dan Damon spoke with Kate Allen, Director of Amnesty International UK, and started by asking her what type of crime would get you executed in China.
