Notts County Ladies left ‘gobsmacked’ after club folds
English top-flight club Notts County Ladies have folded just two days before their first match of the Spring Series. They were due to take on Arsenal on Sunday but were called into a meeting to be told the club no longer exists. The team includes England's Carly Telford, Laura Bassett, Jade Moore and Jo Potter.
Goalkeeper Carly Telford and midfielder Leanne Crichton told 5 live’s Caroline Barker they were “gobsmacked.”
“There were tears, everyone was in complete shock.”
