Fenella Fielding: An ode to 'being empty chaired'
The empty chair has hit the news after calls to run the TV debates even if the prime minister will not show up to debate with her rivals.
The TV debates were imported from America along with the use of the term "empty chair" as a verb. I empty chair .. you empty chair .. we empty chair or I was empty chaired.
