Blofeld: Packer 'won every battle going'
Test Match Special's Henry Blofeld discusses the legacy of Kerry Packer and World Series cricket.
It's been 40 years since cricket was torn apart by the formation of Packer's breakaway league, an event that's seen as one of the biggest controversies to hit the sport.
Blofeld said: "My goodness me he (Kerry Packer) was a tough egg, I can tell you that and I personally think that that revolution would never have happened unless there was someone not only as tough a person as Packer but also as rich a person.
"He had everything going for him and he did very much tough it out didn't he and he won every battle going."
The legacy of Packer and World Series cricket is still being felt, from the TV coverage of the game, to the way that the game is marketed.
