David Simon, the creator and writer behind hit US crime drama The Wire has written a musical based around the work of The Pogues.

He鈥檚 been working on the new production with the band鈥檚 co-founder and singer Spider Stacy, who told 5 live鈥檚 Tony Livesey he鈥檚 鈥渞eally excited鈥� about the project.
