Schizophrenia patient Ceri tells us her story
The Conservatives have promised to introduce a Mental Health Treatment Bill to replace what they say is the “outdated and unfit-for-purpose” 1983 Mental Health Act.
Ceri who has schizophrenia and was detained in a police cell for 14 hours, and Jenny Edwards, chief executive of Mental Health Foundation, are calling on the government to reform the bill and improve funding for social care.
