Savage on the death of his father from Pick's disease

An emotional Robbie Savage tells Andrew Flintoff and Matthew Syed about the death of his father from Pick's disease.

Savage was discussing mental health and what it was like visiting his father in hospital during the last 17 weeks of his life.

Savage said: "There were times, as much as I hate to say it and I might get a bit criticised for it...you get in the car and you’re driving there thinking: “What’s the point? I’m going to get there, it’s my dad, he hasn’t got a clue who I am.â€

Andrew Flintoff asked how that made the former football feel, Savage responded: "Horrendous, mate, horrendous. You’re driving there, every time I left I was in tears, in tears thinking that’s my dad…"
