'My father lost his memory'
A self-employed builder was left with severe memory loss after being bitten by flies.
Gary Newman's daughter, Nina, told 5 live Breakfast that his condition, encephalitis (an inflammation of the brain), means that she has to introduce herself to him "on a daily basis."
"I can tell him I'm his daughter, but anyone could tell him that.
"He's not got any sort of memory of any of us."
Nina has now started a funding page to help her father get further treatment for his condition.
