Vaughan: Do England realise how good Bairstow is?
Former England captain Michael Vaughan has questioned whether Jonny Bairstow's ability is being fully recognised.
Bairstow has struggled to nail down a permanent place in the Test squad, but Vaughan is a big fan of the batsman and says England might be missing a "slight trick" by not valuing his talents more highly.
When asked by Phil Tufnell is Bairstow's popularity among fellow players may be an issue, Vaughan said: "I don't think he's the number one [most popular player], but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be in the team.”
