London's Grey Plaques
If you live in a city plagued by severe air pollution, you may know what it is like: the persistent cough, the black residue in your nose, the acrid smell of burning tyres, and the serious worries of what it can do to your lungs. The World Health Organization has been warning that air pollution now represent a global health emergency. Exhaust fumes from diesel cars and construction have been highlighted as causes. Anu Anand went to Oxford Circus in the heart of London to meet two young men who are trying to raise awareness right at street level by mimicking the city's famous Blue Plaque scheme.
