Only remaining member of Churchill's secret army in Dorset given defence medal
Jack Northover was one of Churchill's Secret Army. Groups of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Guard soldiers who were trained to protect in the event of a German invasion - and who were expected to give up their lives if necessary.

On Saturday the Wrackleford Auxiliary Unit were honoured with a memorial at Stratton, near Dorchester. And, before the ceremony, Jack - and relatives of three of the other eight members - received The World War 2 Defence Medal - which they weren't expecting.
