Your Call caller: ‘I will not apologise for being Muslim’
Your Call caller Sheikha reacted angrily to the idea that mosques should have "not in my name" banners outside saying "I am not going to apologise as a Muslim."
Sheikha called 5 live Breakfast’s Your Call to respond to comments from journalist and commentator Angela Epstein who said: ”Outside every single mosque have a banner saying ‘not in my name’, mobilise, come together. I want to drive past every mosque and see that."
Sheikha said: - "I don’t wear a hijab and I walk as a black woman on the street - the minute I wear a scarf someone tells me to apologise….I am not apologising, that boy was not a Muslim, he was a criminal."
