'David Dein really cares about Arsenal ladies'
Goalkeeper Emma Byrne has praised the support that former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein gave to the women's team during their quadruple-winning season.
Byrne was part of the team that in 2007 won the league title, became champions of Europe, as well as winning both the FA and League Cups, and the Republic of Ireland international credits Dein for the role he played in their success.
The 37-year-old explains how Dein was instrumental in allowing the ladies team to access the same facilities as the men at Highbury stadium, and that even to this day he still has a "duty of care for the players", as he wanted to meet up with Byrne when she was released by the club in December 2016.
