How has sex education in schools changed through the generations?
Sex and relationship vlogger and author Hannah Witton spoke to her mum, Debbie, about the difference in their sex education lessons.
Hannah described her experience of sex education at school as “basic and gross”, while Debbie said the few lessons she received were “functional, lacking and scaremongering”.
The government has said sex education will be compulsory for all schools in England by 2020, though Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have their own guidelines.
“Pleasure, porn and masturbation are all topics that need to be covered, because young people learn a lot about sex through porn,” said Hannah.
