Five times Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave has admitted that elite British sport is increasingly 鈥榗ut throat鈥� with athletes being unable to secure Lottery funding if they don鈥檛 win medals and achieve outstanding results at major championships. Redgrave was speaking after numerous claims of bullying have emerged against British coaches, though the former champion rower said he still hopes Britain manages to pinpoint the athletes who can 鈥榞et us the glory and push us up the medal table鈥�.
