Former cricketer Andrew Flintoff says then England coach Duncan Fletcher once asked him: 'What have you ever done for me?'
Duncan Fletcher became an OBE after England won the Ashes for the first time in 18 years in 2005.
Flintoff said: "He had me in reception and he said: 'Can I have a chat?'"
Fletcher had reprimanded Flintoff after he’d fallen off a pedalo and got into difficulties in the water following a drinking session.
Flintoff said: "And then he turned around and he says: 'And while I'm thinking about it...what have you ever done for me?'
“He said: ‘Well, Collingwood got me trainers…Strauss gets me sunglasses, what have you got me?’
"I thought, hang on a minute, is a big house in Cape Town and an OBE not enough?"
