'Southampton have a fella that ticks all the boxes'
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport's South American football correspondent Tim Vickery outlines the character of Southampton's new manager Mauricio Pellegrino.
"I think Southampton have got a fella who ticks all the boxes that you care to bring up in conversation," Vickery said.
"My favourite story about Pellegrino the coach – He was at Estudiantes, who Simeone also coached a few years before him – and Pellegrino was giving touchline instructions in such a wholehearted and dynamic way that he dislocated his shoulder while he was doing that!
"That’s the kind of bloke that Southampton are getting – someone who has football knowledge, English knowledge, and a lot of commitment as well."
The 45-year-old Argentine replaces Claude Puel, who was sacked earlier this month after one season in charge.
