Edwards – Warburton should be considered to start
Sir Gareth Edwards has suggested possibly changing the Lions team in order to get it “a little bit more dynamic.” But the Welsh legend has urged not to make too many changes. “There is always a danger when the result has gone against you, to overchange.” Edwards conceded that a couple of moments could have changed the course of the first game against the All Blacks, which the British and Irish Lions lost 30-15. “I would keep changes to a minimum.”
One change he would consider to make for the next match, is to give Sam Warburton a starting place. Edwards stressed that it wasn’t out of emotion or nationality, but that the Welsh player could give the team something extra. “When Sam Warburton came on, we looked a lot more effective in the tackle area … He is a big favourite of mine, and I know how he can react to something like this.”
