Earlier this year, President Trump tried to introduce measures to restrict entry to travellers from six Muslim-majority countries, including Iran. 'Beyond the Ban: Contemporary Iranian Art' - an exhibition featuring works by prominent Iranian-American artists living in the US - celebrates the contribution of immigrants to American arts and culture. It has been organised by the Center for Human Rights in Iran, and curated by the renowned painter, Nicky Nodjoumi, who has been a resident in New York since late 1960s.
