Butcher: England's U21s are 'absolute lions'
Former England captain Terry Butcher says the Under-21s side are "absolute lions" despite their exit from the European Championships in Poland.
Aidy Boothroyd's side missed out on a place in the final as they lost 4-3 to Germany on penalties after the game had finished 2-2 in normal time.
Butcher believes the team did the country proud and can hold their heads high. "Anyone can lose on penalties we've seen that," he said. "We have got a lot to look forward to with these younger players coming through and these players shouldn't feel they let anyone down."
