ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leeds Competition - Terms and Conditions
1. The competition is open to all residents of the UK, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, aged 18 or over except ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ or ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Group Company employees, their close relatives or anyone connected with the competition. Proof of identity and eligibility may be required.
2. Each Friday from Friday 4 August 2017 until Friday 3 June 2018 on the West Yorkshire Sport Daily between 6.00pm and 7.00pm on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leeds is giving you the chance to enter a competition to win a pair of tickets to a sporting match involving a West Yorkshire club.
3. A question will be asked by the presenters each Friday night programme (just after 6.15pm ). Three options will be provided for the answer. Listeners will then be able to text in the option they think is right, using the A, B or C system. They will have until 6.45pm to text their answers into the station. The winner will be announced between 6.45-7.00pm. Texts will be charged at your standard message rate. No other method of entry will be accepted. Only one entry is allowed per mobile number. Any additional entries will not be counted but you will be charged. The times the competition is open will be clearly mentioned by the presenter during the programme.
4. You can only enter by texting the word WYS followed by the keyword and letter corresponding with the correct answer, NOEL A, NOEL B or NOEL C to 81333.Â
For example an entrant who chooses the answer B would text the following to 81333:Â WYS NOEL B
5. If you enter either before the opening time or after the closing time specified above your entry will not be accepted but you may still be charged. If you enter more than once, only the first entry will count, subsequent entries will not be counted but you will be charged for those subsequent entries.
6. After the registration period has closed one of the correct entrants will be randomly selected each Friday, called back to check eligibility, availability, adherence to these Terms and then put on air. If the entrant cannot be contacted in a reasonable amount of time then they will not progress in the competition and the next randomly selected correct entrant will be called. The process continues until a winner is put on air.
7. The prize will vary each week and be described on air, so please listen carefully. When the prize is for match tickets, the prize is then just for the tickets and does not included travel, accommodation or food.
8. Tickets are strictly non-transferable. For the avoidance of doubt, the prize does not include travel, accommodation costs, food, drinks or any other expenses. Tickets are subject to the Event’s Terms and Conditions. By accepting the prize the winners accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The prize is stated as above. There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be sold or transferred in any circumstances. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ reserves the right to substitute or supplement any element of the prize.
9. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ will not be responsible for any failure by the winner and guest to gain entry or re-entry to any match due to the behaviour of the winner and guest or their failure to meet the admission requirements of the event. The winner and guest must not be subject to any order banning them from attending a football match. Ticket holders are responsible for checking admission requirements to the venue. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ will not be responsible for the suspension or cancellation of the sports event. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ will not provide an alternative or replacement prize.
10. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s decision as to entrants taking part and winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
11. Entrants agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required. The names of winners will be made public.
12. Your name, telephone number, email address and any other personal details will be handled by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ will only ever use your personal details for the purposes of administering this competition. Your personal details will only be kept for as long as necessary to fulfil these purposes. The name and email address of the winner will be passed to the provider of the prize when a third party (for example for match tickets) to ensure proper prize fulfilment. 14. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ reserves the right to: (i) amend these terms and conditions and vary the competition rules including but not limited to shows included, opening and closing times; (ii) disqualify any entrant who breaches the rules or has acted fraudulently in any way; (iii) exclude ticket holders from the event if the Event terms and conditions are breached in any way and; (iv) cancel the competition, at any stage, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside its control.
15. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½, their sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any server, system, network or mobile operator or service provider or otherwise which may result in any registration not being properly logged or not recorded.
16. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition.
17. The competition is run by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½. The applicable law is that of England and Wales.
