Can coffee make you live longer?
Landmark study claims drinking three cups of coffee a day could help you live longer
A new study of more than half a million people across 10 countries carried out by the International Agency for Research on Cancer suggests that coffee consumption is good for your health. Your morning dose of caffeine could add as much as 9 minutes to your life.
Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter from the University of Cambridge tells Nick Robinson: "They estimate a single cup of coffee, in moderation, is beneficial to a longer life... heavy coffee drinkers however, who drink more and smoke more, have a higher death rate."
