Conservative MP Robert Halfon and Labour MP Jess Phillips got into a battle of statistics and counter-claims over the details of apprentices and their pay rates in a debate on Monday's Daily Politics.

Presenter Jo Coburn offered to get their claims checked, and called on Matt Whittaker, chief economist at the not-for-profit research and policy organisation Resolution Foundation, to see who was right or wrong.
